When someone is not living up to our expections, we get very impatient with the person and wish him out of the way but one that person is out or improves, we start missing the person and we start showering praises on the person.
When IBB was in power, we wshed him out.
In the early 90’s when Dimka plotted to over throw IBB, there was celebration in the land. The coup failed thanks to Abacha. IBB was finally pressured to step “aside” and we all hived a sigh of relief. But today many of us wish him back because we agree that his days were better than today. In other words we want to go back to the goods days of IBB. The only people that don’t want him back are people like Gani and Soyinka. Even people in Aboila’s family want him back. Same goes for Abacha. We all miss Abacha so badly today because we all agree that his days were better.
Some of us are already missing Baba.
Gives us two more years and we’ll wish Baba back to Aso Rock to give us more of his good old days.The main reason I started this whole stuff about peoples’ good old days is because of our darling Super Eagles. When they lost their first match and drew the second one; we all called for their heads, especially that of the coach Berti Vogts.
